Captain Jake Jordan

Captain Jake Jordan has spent more than half a century traveling the world in pursuit of world-class game fish on fly and light tackle.  A well known speaker, author, and consultant to the boating, fishing, and fly fishing industries, Jake is considered an expert in all areas of big game sport fishing and fly fishing, and has been featured in dozens of magazine articles and television productions. He is a FFF certified fly casting instructor, an original member of the FFF advisory committee, and a charter member of the "I.G.F.A. Certified Captains" organization.

During his lifetime, Jake Jordan has caught more than 1,100 Billfish on fly.  He is founder and host of "The Bonefish School", a saltwater fly fishing school held at the Peace & Plenty Bonefish Lodge in the Bahamas, and also owns and operates "The Sailfish School", a fly fishing school designed to teach anglers how to catch Billfish on a fly rod at The Casa Vieja Lodge in Puerto San Jose, Guatemala.  At 68 years of age, Captain Jake continues to pole his flats boat in search of Tarpon and Permit from April through June in the Keys and now operates fly fishing charters aboard his Jones Brothers cape fisherman vessel "Fly Reel" near his retirement home in coastal North Carolina.
